The Pretentious Wenches

The life of a wench is not all men and song, though you would not know it from these buxom beauties. Though born of different mothers, these wenches share a common father in the lord of the manor where they were born and raised. They now travel the countryside sharing their bountiful talents with all who would stop to listen!

Performing a variety of bawdy songs with the sweetest of voices, these would-be "ladies" will be a delight to men and women alike as they sing of the trials and tribulations of being a wench! However, this is not a show for the faint of heart or youngsters.

Song list includes:
"The Brisk Young Butcher"
"Sweet Violets"
'The Lusty Young Smith"
"Cuckoo's Nest"
"There Was a Pretty Maid"
"The German Clockwinder"

Our more family-friendly show contains:
"A Song of Pages" by Thomas Ravenscroft
"Four Arms, Two Necks, One Wreathing" by Thomas Weelkes
"Your Shining Eyes" by Thomas Batesman
"Of Flattering Speach" by William Byrd
"Ale and Tobacco" by Thomas Ravenscroft

Update

This year, Eliza has been reunited with more sisters! Although Sammy has headed to warmer climates, Eliza will not be lonely with Maddy, Kate, and Sally. Eliza has her work cut out for her in trying to make proper ladies out of Kate, a butcher wench with a bossy streak; Maddy, a serving wench with her head in the clouds and her feet chasing butterflies; and Sally, a scullery wench who has seen far too many tavern brawls and has participated in even more! Luckily, one thing Eliza will not have to worry about is the beauty of their voices. When these wenches harmonize, it is more crisp and clean than Kate's apron, with more melodic beauty than Madeline's laugh, more thoughtful than Eliza's grand plans, and even impressive than Sally's right hook!
